WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

I went through the XPLORE study with a group from my young adult Bible study. Before starting the study, I really didn’t know much about missions. I had heard of the “10/40 window," but I had no idea what that meant or where it was. I assumed “nations” had something to do with geographical borders, and I was positive that THUMB was just one of 5 fingers. The XPLORE study did an excellent job of teaching me about the true meaning of “God’s heart for the nations” in a way that was thorough, yet easy to understand. The short, interactive lessons helped me to see where I might fit in to God’s plan for the world, and I looked forward to doing them each week. Now, I not only understand the 10/40 window, the definition of nations, and THUMB, but I am able to teach those things to other people! XPLORE was an excellent introduction to the Biblical basis for missions, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about God’s heart.

When I read that only 4% of missionaries are going to unreached areas, it made me want to go. But knowing that I'm meant to be here at college right now kind of made me feel helpless. XPLORE pointed me to Matthew 9:37-38, helping me see that prayer, and specifically praying for laborers is just as necessary as physically going. Since then, one of my friends and I have started a world prayer meeting on Tuesday mornings where we pray that God's name would be glorified, unreached nations would begin to hear, and that God would raise up laborers. It's so cool knowing that God promises there will be people from every tribe tongue and nation praising him someday, and that we get to be a part of it!
